There aren’t many names in adult entertainment that can genuinely say they’ve been there through several generations of the industry. Babestation can.
From late-night television and premium-rate phone sex lines to live cams, messaging, social media and the modern creator economy, the brand has evolved alongside the way people consume adult entertainment. So when Babestation found itself nominated for Cam Site of the Year at the XMA Awards in Amsterdam, it felt like a pretty fitting place to celebrate just how far the industry has come. And I was lucky enough to be there for it.
As Babestation’s resident writer and a content creator myself, I headed to Amsterdam with the rather enviable job of representing the brand across the first X3 event and the XMA Awards. There was work involved, obviously. There was also a red carpet, an awful lot of glamour, some familiar faces, plenty of drinks and, eventually, me screaming Green Day into a microphone. But we’ll get to that.
From Babestation TV to the world of live cams
If you remember the old Babestation, you’ll know just how different the industry looked back then. There were TV screens instead of TikTok feeds, premium-rate phone lines instead of DMs and a very different relationship between performers and their audiences. Fast-forward to now and the whole industry has moved online.
Fans can jump into live shows, chat directly with performers, follow them across multiple platforms and interact in real time. Creators have built huge personal brands of their own, and live cam sites have become an enormous part of the adult entertainment world. Babestation has made that journey too. So seeing the brand nominated alongside some of the biggest names in the current cam industry was genuinely exciting. It showed that while the technology and platforms might have changed, Babestation hasn’t been left behind. Far from it.
X3 Amsterdam brings the industry together
The XMA Awards were part of the wider X3 Amsterdam event, which brought together fans, performers, creators and adult brands at the Passenger Terminal. And this wasn’t some tiny industry get-together.
There were names and brands from across the adult world, with Brazzers represented alongside performers including Girthmaster, Danny D and Kieran Lee, as well as names such as Vixen and Tushy. But what made X3 interesting wasn’t simply the famous faces. It was the mixture. You had fans who had travelled specifically to meet their favourite performers. You had established creators meeting people they’d known online for years. You had brands networking, performers catching up and new connections being made everywhere you looked. It was essentially the internet coming to life for a weekend. And Babestation was right in the middle of it.
Babestation brought the babes
Loula Lou and Zoe Grey were both there representing Babestation at X3, meeting fans, taking photos and spending time with the people who normally see them through a screen. And there’s something quite special about seeing that interaction happen in person.
Online, everything can feel slightly detached. A fan watches a show, sends a message or sees a post, and then carries on with their day. At X3, there was no screen in between. Fans could actually meet the women they’d been watching, have a proper conversation and get to know them away from the online environment. And Babestation had even more to celebrate at the XMAs.

Yes, she only bloody won. There was also plenty of British talent getting recognised, with UK performers Mila Amora and Summer Fox receiving nominations in their respective categories. It was brilliant seeing so many UK performers represented at an international awards event and being able to celebrate alongside them.
And then there was the small matter of the XMAs
If X3 was about meeting fans and bringing the industry together, the XMA Awards were where the glamour really kicked in. And I can’t lie, I bloody loved it. There’s something slightly surreal about getting dressed up, heading to an awards ceremony and suddenly finding yourself walking a red carpet surrounded by people you’ve spent years seeing online. But for me, it wasn’t just about getting dressed up and having a night out. I was there representing Babestation. That made the whole thing feel different.
Seeing the Babestation name among the nominees and being able to experience that moment from inside the room was something I was genuinely proud of. The brand has been part of adult entertainment for such a long time that it would be easy to think of it purely in terms of its history. But standing there at the XMAs, surrounded by modern cam brands and creators, it was pretty obvious that Babestation is still very much part of the present too. And that’s quite a nice thing to be able to say.
Amsterdam, friends and a little bit of chaos
Of course, no trip to Amsterdam with an adult industry event happening in the background was ever going to be entirely sensible. I got to catch up with plenty of familiar faces and spend the weekend with my gorgeous bestie Zeena Valvona, which obviously added another layer of chaos to the weekend. That’s probably what I enjoyed most about the whole weekend.
Then we discovered karaoke
Naturally, the sophisticated awards evening eventually descended into karaoke. A group of us ended up in a private room, and at some point I decided that Green Day’s Holiday was the appropriate musical choice. Was I good? Obviously. I absolutely fucking smashed it.
After spending the weekend behaving like a respectable Babestation representative, I felt it was only fair to unleash my inner rock star. I think it’s safe to say the XMAs won’t be forgetting me in a hurry.
A weekend worth celebrating
Looking back, what made Amsterdam special wasn’t simply the red carpet or the glamour. It was seeing Babestation represented at an event celebrating where the adult industry is now. A brand that started in a completely different era of entertainment was standing alongside today’s biggest cam names, with a nomination for Cam Site of the Year and one of its own BSX girls taking home an award. That’s a pretty good weekend.
The industry will continue to change. Platforms will come and go, technology will keep evolving and the way fans interact with performers will undoubtedly look completely different again in another few years. But Babestation has already proved that it knows how to evolve. And I’m bloody glad I got to be there to see this particular chapter from the inside.
So, Amsterdam: thank you for the glamour, the chaos, the brilliant people, the red carpet and the questionable karaoke. And X3? We’ll see you next time. I’ll bring the Babestation babes.
